    Now Hiring: Wardrobe Director / Lead Dresser

    Irving Berlin's White Christmas

    Veritas Productions & Theatre Arts is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Wardrobe Mistress / Lead Dresser for our highly anticipated production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, presented in partnership with Parker Arts at the Schoolhouse Theatre in Parker, Colorado.

    This individual will oversee backstage wardrobe operations throughout the technical rehearsal process and performance run, ensuring every costume is performance-ready and every quick change happens seamlessly. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced backstage environment, remains calm under pressure, and takes great pride in supporting artists behind the scenes.

    Compensation

    • $50 per guaranteed performance

    • 19 guaranteed performances

    • 8 performance holds (candidate must remain available for these dates should they be activated. Ample notice will be provided)

    Responsibilities

    • Organize, maintain, and oversee all costumes backstage.

    • Prepare dressing rooms and costume presets prior to each performance.

    • Assist cast members with costume changes, including multiple quick changes.

    • Maintain costume continuity throughout the run.

    • Perform light costume maintenance, including steaming, minor repairs, stain treatment, and laundering as directed by the Costume Designer.

    • Communicate any wardrobe concerns promptly with the Production Stage Manager and Costume Designer.

    • Ensure costumes are properly stored following each performance.

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional backstage wardrobe area.

    • Support a respectful, collaborative, and inclusive rehearsal and performance environment.

    Requirements

    Applicants should:

    • Have previous experience in theatrical wardrobe, costume running, or backstage dressing.

    • Be comfortable working under time-sensitive conditions and executing quick changes.

    • Demonstrate exceptional organization and attention to detail.

    • Be dependable, punctual, and proactive.

    • Work well independently while collaborating effectively with production staff and performers.

    • Be able to lift costume racks, bins, and wardrobe equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.

    The selected candidate must be available for all technical rehearsals, performances, and performance holds.
